FREE Sports First Aid & Level One Sports Trainer for High School Students

Sports Medicine AustraliaSports Medicine Australia NT have received funding to hold a Sports First Aid (HLTFA311A)/Injury Prevention and Taping course (16/17/18 January 2013) and a Level One Sports Trainer (22/23/24 January 2013) course for children in the age groups between 14-18 years of age.  As well as attending the course participants must commit to providing some small assistance within a sporting club or sport over a season and to be mentored over this period.  This is a good way for clubs and sports to gain more assistance with Sports First Aiders but they must have a mentor attached to the sport.   Should anyone be interested or know someone that may be interested please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Attached is the registration form and the basic selection criteria for your information.  Please fax or email the registrations back to education.nt@sma.org.au or (08) 89 813890.

REMEMBER – these courses are Fully Funded and therefore FREE – So it is in your best interests as to attend or, as clubs, track down any 14-18 year olds that may be interested in continuing with your sport in this capacity and you may end up with a Sports Trainer for life.
